Day 2 Theme & Giveaway: Sunflowers
Five die-cut, clear, flexible plastic masks/pages per swatchbooks (kind of the inverse of a stencil as you’ll be leaving the unpainted design behind when you remove the mask). Today, in the form of a sunflower, Clytie still stares up at her love and this is why the sunflower’s face always turns to follow the path of the sun. She was so much in love that she would sit on the grass and gaze up at the sun all day long but Helios, in his travels, looked over the world and never once did he see Clytie. The masks are clear, so you are easily able to see how much ink you are applying to the desired area. Her legs became the sunflower’s stem, her face became the flower and her golden hair the petals. There was once a beautiful water-nymph called Clytie who fell in love with Helios, the God of the Sun. Simply hold down (or spray with repositionable adhesive) and apply inks, paints, sprays, or a variety of other mediums over the mask.
Gratitude
The Subaru ended its vacation at Pillar Creek Beach, just in time to take us to Thanksgiving dinner at the KI. We're thankful for a blue sky Thanksgiving day. ) It snuck right up on us. Our chance meeting in 1998 is what we celebrate as the starting point of our life adventure together, even though we simultaneously roamed the halls of Hellgate I'm personally thankful for all of the above, plus I'm thankful for 13 years of life partnership with my dear lupu. We're thankful for all the people who helped us get it out. It's Thanksgiving time, and we have a lot to be thankful for. ) We both have to confess to forgetting the Cat-Griz game last weekend. We're thankful that no children were decapitated in the process. We're thankful to have learned an important lesson about snow tires....
